How will our various connectivity solutions help?

If you have poor business internet are looking for a faster internet speed for your office, then look no further. We provide business connectivity solutions through customised networks shaped to suit your business’ connectivity needs.

Silver Lining has a wide range of different offerings delivered in multiple ways, including direct internet, MPLS, and SDWAN. The various connectivity options can be mixed and matched to ensure your network is built using the correct connectivity for optimised data quality of service (QoS).

Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL)

ADSL is a copper-based technology and is traditionally delivered using existing copper pairs (phone lines). ADSL is now less used with the growth of FTTC but is still an essential connectivity medium where other business connectivity options are limited. ADSL speeds tend to range between 1Mb and 16Mb. Silver-Lining can deliver ADSL as a primary or secondary service to ensure if there is a network issue your business far less likely to lose internet connectivity.

Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC)

FTTC is similar to ADSL in that it is delivered to the premises using a standard copper pair (phone line). However, the local cabinet to which the copper connects will have been updated to then aggregate those connections into a much higher speed fibre circuit, improving data quality of service. This allows for higher speeds to be delivered to the premises, usually ranging between 6Mb and 80Mb.

Ethernet over Fibre to the Cabinet (EoFTTC)

EoFTTC uses FTTC technology; however, it is provisioned as Ethernet termination. The benefits of EoFTTC over standard FTTC are that it is provisioned with dedicated bandwidth allocation and supports more advanced networking options, enhancing data QoS. It also benefits from an enhanced support SLA which offers a guaranteed fix time of six hours. Speed ranges are the same as FTTC, however, they are un-contended.

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)

Unlike FTTC, FTTP fibre is terminated at a cabinet shared by lots of connections. FTTP is still commonly contended or aggregated like FTTC; however, as the fibre goes all the way to the premises, there are less speed limitations than with copper cables, improving data QoS with much higher bandwidth speeds available. Typical speed ranges are 100Mb to 1Gb.

Fibre Ethernet

Fibre Ethernet also provides fibre delivery to the premises; however, unlike FTTP, it provides synchronous dedicated bandwidth. Fibre Ethernet is the go-to for enterprise business networks where reliable speed for both upload and download are required. Fibre ethernet also has the highest support SLA of all the products we offer, with a guaranteed fix time of five hours in the event of a failure. Typical speed ranges are 100Mb to 10Gb.

4G & 5G

4G and 5G offer fast and flexible high speed deployment options without the need for physical infrastructure, providing you with the highest data QoS. Wireless connectivity such as this has several uses depending on the scenario, from being a primary business connectivity solution for remote or temporary locations to providing diverse backup connectivity. Speeds tend to range from 10Mb to 500Mb.
