Job responsibilities:

Working within the Marketing team and reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of various events for the company and become the charity / CSR (Corporate social responsibility) champion.

As the events coordinator, you will possess strong time management and organisational skills and a confident approach to working in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for running virtual, hybrid and face to face events whilst ensuring that critical business needs are met for each project. These include internal conferences, charity days, parties, award ceremonies, company trips etc.

While keeping in line and following Covid guidelines, you will be required to travel to conduct site visits and attend events to ensure they run smoothly.

In this role, you will be proactive in engaging local communities and maintaining relationships with supporters, volunteers, schools, and other community groups actively seeking new opportunities to support our chosen causes.

This is a very varied role, and no two days are the same:

  • Involvement in developing event concepts and designs
  • Social Media editing, updating, and posting for the various events & campaigns
  • Guiding the creative development of the project from the mood and atmospherics to the set build and finishes.
  • End to end project management, on and offsite
  • Admin and account management
  • Liaising with the marketing team to ensure the website is up to date with events & CSR news
  • Co-ordinating and involving other departments, colleagues, suppliers etc
  • Working with numerous charities and contacts
  • All logistic aspects including catering, suppliers, running order, briefings
  • Excellent communicator, well presented
  • Numerate, attention to detail, eye for perfection, loves events
  • A passion for the rapidly evolving technology world and the relationship between humans and machines will make this job a lot of fun!

Occasional evening and weekend work will be expected in line with the nature of the job, for which time off in lieu can be taken.

Person specification:

The ideal candidate will have a great balance of the following skills and a passion for learning; we advocate an open, friendly learning environment and this is a fantastic opportunity to extend your knowledge and experience.

  • A people person who enjoys being hands on
  • Involvement in coordinating physical and virtual events.
  • Passion for social media marketing and experience of using social media tools.
  • Knowledge of the IT/Telecoms industry an advantage however not essential
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills
  • A driving licence is essential, as the role will include some travel (Costs covered)
